Trustee – Wicksteed Charitable Trust
Wicksteed Park is one of Northamptonshire’s leading visitor attractions which welcomes around a million visitors a year to its rides and other attractions. The park is the original home of children’s play which continues to delight children of all ages. The Wicksteed Charitable Trusts extensive estate includes the Grade II listed Park, including 2 lakes, arboretum, woodlands and pasture.
We are looking for new trustees to reflect the diverse communities that Wicksteed Charitable Trust is proud to support, we are committed to building a Board dedicated to furthering diversity and inclusion. We actively and warmly encourage applications therefore from a broad range of backgrounds and experiences.
The ambition of Charles Wicksteed, the Trust’s founder, was to provide a park where all could play for free. Today the Wicksteed Charitable Trust provide a safe environment for people of all ages to relax and play, and to provide a focus for community activity. The park plays an important role in Kettering and its neighbourhoods, contributing to the communities’ health and wellbeing. Our intention is further develop and promote the Wicksteed Park offering regional and national communities.
