Launch of New Ferris Wheel Ride to Mark 2023 Opening
We are excited to announce the first of this year’s new additions – a fantastic new 25-metre high Ferris Wheel.
The wheel, named The Garden Wheel, will be one of the largest in the region and will offer breath-taking views over the park and its surroundings.
The new attraction is suitable for the whole family and is part of our commitment to add even more fun and exciting things for families to enjoy together.
In the last two years we have introduced the new Galaxy Invaders ride, Meerkat Manor, Wicky Bear’s Theatre and Wicky’s Farmyard, providing even more value for money during a family day out.
Megan Wright, Wicksteed Park’s Head of Sales and Marketing, said: “We are very excited about the launch of the first of our new rides this year, The Garden Wheel, which will not only showcase incredible views of our beautiful park, it will also be great fun for everyone to enjoy.”
“It will also become part of our events offering throughout the year, providing a unique experience for wedding couples and their reception guests as well as allowing people to wrap up warm with a hot drink on fireworks night and in the run up to Christmas.”
The Ferris wheel, which is expected to be operational when the park opens in April 2023, is situated at the top end of the park, and is included in the price of a wristband.
All of the park’s rides and attractions will open for the start of the Easter holidays, Saturday April 1, so people can enjoy rides like Dinosaur Valley and Rocky River Falls or favourites such as, the Train, Sway Rider, and the Carousel.
