Heritage Open Days are back at Wicksteed Park for 2025!

Have you ever wanted to explore how the park’s key features have changed over time? Join us in the Garden Room on the 14th of September from 11am for a captivating presentation showcasing a series of aerial views across different decades illustrating the dramatic transformation of Wicksteed Park’s grounds.

In the 100 years that Wicksteed Park has been open, much of the landscape and architecture has evolved – reflecting not only changing tastes and technologies but also the growing needs of the community it serves. From its early days as a pioneering leisure park envisioned by Charles Wicksteed to its status as a cherished local landmark, the park has continually adapted while retaining its unique charm.

In celebration of this year’s Heritage Open Days theme of architecture, we are delighted to host a special presentation that offers a unique perspective: a visual journey through time using aerial photography.

This presentation is FREE to attend but there are limited spaces so make sure you book your space online now, so you don’t miss out!

We hope to see you join us to explore Wicksteed Park’s architecture from an aerial view!
