Over 15 million people have taken to the rails of Wicksteed Park Railway since it first opened in 1931. It was the last feature of the park to be added during the lifetime of the parks founder Charles Wicksteed and is supported by the Friends of the Wicksteed Park Railway.
Wicksteed Park Railway takes visitors around the natural parkland and along the recently restored park lakeshore. Wicksteed Park Railway is Britain’s most popular 2 ft (610 mm) narrow narrow-gauge railway.
Children under 1 metre must be accompanied by a responsible person over 14yrs of age.

Wicksteed Charitable Trust
The Wicksteed Charitable Trust receives no regular external funding to help maintain the park as a truly unique, freely accessible public space.
You can help to preserve the park for future generations by making donations. All money raised is used to help maintain the park and its grounds.
