Soaring high above the Thrill Zone at Wicksteed Park at a startling 45 degrees on the Paratrooper, you can enjoy a comfortable aerial ride offering an alternative style of ride than some of our other higher adrenaline experiences.
The Paratrooper is a classic ride based on a central wheel that houses a number of colourful hanging baskets waiting to take you on a gentle trip to the skies! The wheel spins up and then rises to an angle giving you the feeling like you’re really flying through the air. Paratrooper is one of our popular rides situated near the lake in The Thrill Zone so gorgeous views of Wicksteed Park are guaranteed.
If you’re 0.9 to 1.2 metres tall, you’ll need to ask a bigger friend if they’re brave enough to join you.

Wicksteed Charitable Trust
The Wicksteed Charitable Trust receives no regular external funding to help maintain the park as a truly unique, freely accessible public space.
You can help to preserve the park for future generations by making donations. All money raised is used to help maintain the park and its grounds.
