From hilariously revolting science and family-friendly wrestling, to meeting snakes and free art sessions, there is something for everyone!

Here is what to do at Wicksteed Park this Winter:

Art in the Park – Dance

Join us on the 31st of January 2026 from 1pm until 3pm for Art in the Park with an energising session of dance in the Learning Centre.

This session will be led by BHVA (Becky Hurrell Voice Academy) tutors and will use dance and rhythm in a way that’s accessible, inclusive, and confidence-building for all young people – especially those who might not usually take part in arts activities.

The workshop will blend musical theatre, tap, and pulse-inspired movement to create a space where young people can channel energy and emotion through rhythm and movement.

Art in the Park is free to attend, but spaces are limited so don’t wait to book until it is too late.

Go Wild at Wicksteed With ZooLab

Join us from the 14th February until the 22nd February for Go Wild at Wicksteed with ZooLab, open 10:30am-4:00pm!

Experience a day of family fun and unforgettable encounters as you explore our Adventure and Heritage Zones, as well as the amazing Animal Encounter Shows brought to us by ZooLab! Meet fascinating creatures, including snakes, spiders, and snails and discover incredible facts along the way.

Wristbands for Get Wild at Wicksteed are £12 per person, with children under 0.9m able to experience the fun for FREE with an accompanying adult!

Attractions open for Go Wild at Wicksteed include: Indoor Animal Encounter Shows, Astroslide, Treetop Walk, Rockin’ Tug, Clown Coaster, Meerkat Manor, Wicky’s Mini Farmyard, Pig N’ Putt, Lighthouse, Cups & Saucers, Mini Roundabout, Carousel, Sway Rider, and the Wicksteed Park Railway.

The Utterly Revolting Science Show

Join us on the 19th of February 2026 at 11:30am and 3pm*, and brace yourselves for the Rude Science team’s hilarious, high-tech, highly explosive journey through the human body, packed with burp biology, fart physics and revolting edible chemistry.

Expect enormous bottoms, burp machines, edible fireworks, ridiculous games and the world’s loudest fart in this riotous science spectacular, all designed to inspire young audiences.

Tickets are £15 per child and £17 per adult. If you are coming with a large group, you can buy 10 tickets and get one FREE!

The shows will be located inside the Pavilion, making the Utterly Revolting Science show a great way to escape the February chill!

Showdown in the Park

Elevation Wrestling is coming to Wicksteed Park for Showdown in the Park!

Join us on the 20th February 2026 for two exciting wrestling shows at 11am and 3pm. Elevation Wrestling is for everyone! You can enjoy these exciting shows as a family, as a first timer or as a lifelong wrestling fan.

Each show will be packed with jaw dropping action and larger than life characters that the whole family will love.

Showdown in the Park will feature some amazing wrestling talent from the UK. The line-up includes:

  • Wesley Nsereko (finalist of BBC Gladiators)
  • Levi Muir (former WWE UK wrestler)
  • Maddy Morgan
  • Freya Rose
  • Riley Nova

Tickets are £10 per person and if you plan on attending with a group of 20 people or more, you can get your tickets for only £8 per person!

Art in the Park – Still Life

Join us on the 16th of February 2026 from 10am until 12pm for Art in the Park – Still Life Drawing workshop in the Learning Centre.

This session will be led by Nic Bassinder of NixieMade and will focus on the art of still life drawing using charcoal and graphite.

It is suitable for all skill levels, so anyone is welcome to join whether they are new or experienced.

All materials for the session will be provided.
