Something exciting has arrived at Wicksteed Park this May!
Head on down to our Splash Zone to have a go on the brand new “Jolly Jockeys”!
Join us and gallop to victory on one of our Jolly Jockeys horses. We can’t wait to welcome you all onto to this ride this month!
Traditional Playgrounds
Let your little ones burn off their energy in the sunshine by letting them run free in our traditional playground.
From slides and swings, to climbing frames and see-saws, there is so much fun to be had in our playground.
Wicky’s Play Factory
Turn this May into an adventure for your little ones at Wicky’s Play Factory! Overflowing with excitement, joy, and laughter, Wicky’s Play Factory offers the perfect setting for kids to explore, climb, and play to their heart’s content.
Featuring a lively indoor soft play area complete with thrilling slides and tunnels, as well as delightful ball pits, it’s a haven for endless fun. Watch as your little ones unleash their energy while you unwind in a warm and inviting atmosphere with a coffee and a sweet treat! Plus, it’s an ideal retreat from the unpredictable British weather!
Wicky’s Play Factory requires an additional charge and can be conveniently pre-booked online!
Well-being walks
Join us at the park this May for one of our well-being walks! This Wellbeing Walk meets every Wednesday at 10am outside of Carlo’s Courtyard! The walk will be approximately 1 hour/ 2miles with a shorter option also available.
You don’t need any special equipment – just suitable shoes, clothes and we recommend you bring along a bottle of water.
Wellbeing Walks are volunteer led, friendly and local! Everyone is welcome to come along to meet some new people and enjoy our beautiful park.
Park walks
As the weather begins to slowly improve, you can enjoy the beauty of our park and green spaces without getting as soaking wet or covered in mud. You can explore the beauty of Wicksteed Park this May by enjoying leisurely strolls around the beautiful park and lake.
Whether you are seeking a quiet moment of reflection surrounded by nature or a family stroll, Wicksteed Park in May offers charming beauty like no other.
During your time exploring the park, you may even spot Percy the Peacock roaming around in Splash zone, or the baby goslings following their mothers around the lake. There is so much beauty to discover at Wicksteed Park.
Please remember a brolly or a jacket as a sunny day doesn’t guarantee the unpredictable British weather won’t take a turn for the worst.
Grab a bite to eat
Throughout the park, a variety of tasty treats can be found at our food outlets!
Located at the heart of the park, offering a view of our iconic garden wheel ride, is the newly renovated Garden Café. Here you can enjoy a delicious hot drink or indulge in some tasty cakes and sweet treats.
At Carlo’s Courtyard, you can transport your taste buds abroad with their menu of Italian dishes. From the classic cheesy Margherita pizza to hearty meaty options, each bite is a flavourful journey.
Treat yourself to a yummy dessert at the Ice Cream Parlour, where a variety of exciting flavours are available on the menu for you to choose. Enjoy either a classic cone or cup and prepare for a mouthful of deliciousness.
If you adventure to the bottom of the park to experience our more thrilling rides, you can pop into Dare Devils Diner and grab a quick bite to eat. This fast-food option allows you to refuel without missing too much action!

Time for Tots
Wicksteed Park’s Model Boat Club Mayhem
Join us and the Wicksteed Park Model Boat Club on the 25th and 26th of May 2024 for Model Boat Mayhem!
If you love model boat making, you can enjoy displays and sailing down at the Model Boating Lake from 9am until 5pm.
Everyone is welcome to join in with the mayhem fun and learn more about the hobby of model boat making. Entry to the event is free.
Wicksteed Park’s regular parking charges apply. Visitors attending Model Boat Mayhem must park in the regular car parks at the top of the park.

BBQs at Wicksteed Park are permanently banned, unless you are camping where you can use a freestanding BBQ.
