Here is what you can do at Wicksteed Park this summer:

Summer Adventures

Dive in to summer adventures at Wicksteed Park from the 19th of July until the 2nd of September 2025!

Join us for days filled with family thrills by taking a spin on our exciting rides, explore our animal attractions or test your golf skills with a game on our newly refurbished crazy golf course, Pig ‘n Putt.

Our wristbands start from just £22 when booked in advance, giving you unlimited access to over 25 rides and attractions. There are also family wristband bundles available starting from just £56 for a family of 3!

Children under 0.9m get to experience the joy of Wicksteed Park for FREE with an accompanying paying adult.

Explore the Park

Wicksteed Park is made up of 281 acres of lush parklands and meadows that you can explore for free! From nature trails and arboretums, to the South Meadow and Castle Field which is home to Kettering’s only scheduled ancient monument, there is so much to explore.

Bring along the whole family to for a day of play on  our traditional playground that offers a wide range of fun from slides and swings, to climbing frames and see-saws.

Go for a stroll around our stunning lake where you can feed our ducks and wild birds with some healthy feed from the duck feeding station near the lake and sandpit.

If you want to get the whole family involved in a friendly game of football, rounders or cricket, our fields are the perfect place to set up and get playing.

Wicky’s Tropical Summer Party

You’re turtley invited to a summer party full of tropical fun! Join us at Wicksteed Park on the 14th of August from 4:30pm until 6:30pm for Wicky’s Tropical Summer Party!

There will be an exciting lineup of party activities that will have you saying shell yeah! Dance along to disco tunes with the whole family and take part in amazing party games. Get into a tropi-cool state of mind and get dressed into your best summer outfits that will have you feeling like you’re on Island time enjoying fun and sun.

You’ll even get the chance to meet Wicky Bear and his friends! Whether you are a land crab or dancing dolphin, there is fun in store for every beach buddy.

Crafternoon

Unleash your inner creativity at one of our weekly adults Crafternoon sessions!

These fun craft sessions take place every Thursday and is a great opportunity to explore different types of art and meet like-minded individuals.

Sessions run from 10am – 12pm and 1pm – 3pm!

Wicky's Tropical Summer Party

Play Day

Play Day is back at Wicksteed Park!

Join us at Wicksteed Park on the 6th of August 2025 from 11am to 4pm to celebrate free play for National Play Day.

There will be so many exciting activities to get involved with ranging from lawn games and board games to fitness circuits for kids and much more!

Wicksteed Park will be joined by Big Bopper Entertainment, Boards of Kettering, the local Fire Brigade, Community Police, Girl Guides, Tiska Kettering Karate School, Hartbeeps Kettering, ISM Music Academy, Kettering Library, Youth Works, Kettering Lodge Bowls Club, Kettering Town Football Club, the Model Boating Club and more for a fun filled day of play. There will also be face painting by Brushed Beauties available! *

The best part is that it’s a FREE day that the whole family can get involved with.

The theme for this year’s Playday is Spaces for Play and we are delighted to invite you and the whole family to make the most of the park and enjoy all that is on offer within this wonderful space. To find out more about Playday, visit: Playday

Well-Being Walks

Are you looking to get outdoors more? Join us at Wicksteed Park for a Wellbeing Walk!

Wellbeing Walk group will meet every Wednesday at 10am outside of Carlo’s Courtyard! The walk will be approximately 1 hour/ 2miles with a shorter option also available.

Wellbeing Walks are volunteer led, friendly and local! Everyone is welcome to come along!

You don’t need any special equipment – just suitable shoes, clothes and we recommend you bring along a bottle of water.

Wicky’s Play Factory

Searching for an indoor activity to do with your little ones this summer? Wicky’s Play Factory is the place for you!

Wicky’s Play Factory is an exciting, indoor play area where children’s imagination can run wild! Whilst the little ones explore the slides and ball pits, adults can relax in the café area with a hot drink and a bite to eat.

It is also the perfect venue for a children’s birthday party or private hire!

Back to School Party

Once the kids have gone back to school, it’s time for the parents to have some fun!

Get ready to relive the glory days of school at Wicksteed Park’s Back to School Party Night! Join us for an unforgettable evening of fun, music, and nostalgia on the 5th of September 2025!

Dance the night away as DJ Big Bopper spins the best tunes from your school days, and enjoy the incredible sounds of Pure Genius, winners of the Northamptonshire Music Awards Party Band Award.

Fancy dress is strongly encouraged, so pull out your best school-themed outfits!

Delicious basket meals and drinks will be available to purchase on the night to keep you energised for a night of hitting the dance floor and singing along to your favourite tunes.

Tickets to this throwback event are £15 per person, with car parking charges included in your ticket price.

"Had a wonderful day at wicksteed in half term. Not overly busy, children went on all the rides and as many times as they wished. We booked wristbands for them on line and was great value for money. "This historic fun park and country park has something for all ages. There is a parking fee but it is low and supports the charity which owns and runs Wicksteed Park. There are a variety of rides for children of all ages. Without children, the park has great views, walks, miniature train, garden, etc. We had a drink at the Carousel Cafe, coffee and cake was great and sat on a nice table outside on the veranda."

"Had a wonderful time in the park today! Had lunch at the garden café, brioche baguettes and jacket potatoes, and the food was amazing !! Generous portions and super tasty! Staff in there were lovely, smiley and helpful, with lots of recommendations about what to do in the park! We took some cakes home too and they were also fab!! Will definitely be back."

"Treated my nieces to a day at Wicksteed Park during Easter. They had an amazing day from start to finish, when buying our tickets, we were informed of the rides that were closed, we went on all the rides that were open, multiple times, hardly any queuing. For lunch we stopped for food at Lighthouse Bites, the food was cooked fresh and my nieces really enjoyed it. When the park finally closed, the girls were so disappointed their day had come to an end, we decided to spend some time in the free play park, the park was busy with happy children, lots of climbing frames and different play equipment to try. All in all, my nieces had the best day and we are planning on coming back in the summer!"
