Festival of Nature
Join us on the 24th of May 2025 from 10:30am to 5pm at Kettering Nature Group’s first ever Festival of Nature at Wicksteed Park. Enjoy a day of exploration, learning and fun with the whole family!
There’s something for everyone to get involved with at the Festival of Nature. Immerse yourself in the beauty of the natural world with expert-led nature walks, where you can spot birds and wildlife, go on an exciting bug hunt, and even try your hand at citizen science by getting involved with recording local wildlife sightings. Plus, get practical tips on how to make your garden more wildlife-friendly and create a haven for nature in your own backyard.
There will be a host of hands-on activities for little ones and families to get involved with that will spark their curiosity about the great outdoors. With arts and crafts, as well as so much more, there is so much fun to be had!
We’re also thrilled to welcome guest speaker Dr. Mark Avery, a renowned conservationist and co-founder of Wild Justice. With 25 years at the RSPB and decades of campaigning under his belt, Dr. Avery will share his invaluable insights and passion for protecting our environment in his inspiring talk.
Not only will there be hands on activities and an amazing guest speaker, but there will also be live music and entertainment throughout the day. Enjoy live folk and acoustic performances, storytelling, and spoken word sessions that celebrate the magic of the natural world. Stalls from local conservation groups will also be on hand, offering information and opportunities to get involved in preserving our environment.
This exciting event is FREE to attend, with Wicksteed Park’s regular parking charges applying. Plus, you can enjoy unlimited rides with wristbands available from just £22 per person.
Whether you’re a lifelong nature enthusiast or just looking for a fun day out with the family, the Festival of Nature at Wicksteed Park promises to be a day filled with unforgettable memories and fun.
We hope to see you all at the park for Kettering’s first Festival of Nature!
