Caravan & Camping Terms
All prices are per pitch (e.g., Caravan including awning, Campervan, Trailer Tent or Tent) and include Car Admission for one vehicle per pitch. One unit per pitch only.
Regrettably – no refunds will be given in the event of cancellation or failure to arrive, however we can exchange to a different date within the same year providing atleast 24 hours’ notice is given.
If you wish to extend your stay please be aware that you can only do this online at least 24 hours in advance. No on the day payments can be made on site.
- Toilet & Shower facilities on site (400m-800m walk).
- NO electricity hook ups available.
- Pitches are available from 10.00am.
- No unit will be sited if they arrive after 5.00pm unless they have arranged prior permission and paid the later arrival fee in advance.
- Pitches will be allocated in the order of receipt of applicants, on arrival you are welcome to choose your pitch provided you are more than 6m away from the adjoining pitch.
- Pitch tickets must be on display in the window of your caravan/car and must be shown throughout your stay on the site.
- Please vacate your pitch by 5.00pm on the day of departure.
- No all male / female parties that do not live in the same household as one another. [Note: The term ‘parties’ applies to groups of 3 or more and /or stag/ hen groups or similar].
- Persons under the age of 18 years will only be permitted to camp at the park if they are part of a family unit and are accompanied by a responsible adult over the age of 18- ie their parent or primary caregiver.
- At least 6m metres must be kept clear between your caravan / awning / tent and the next caravan / awning / tent. This rule must be strictly adhered to.
- All chemical toilet waste must be disposed of at the disposal point on the campsite.
- All rubbish must be placed in the bins provided.
- All of your property must be taken home with you.
- All signs on the site must be adhered to.
- Maximum stay is 14 nights.
- You must check in to Reception on arrival to collect your pass and register your vehicle (this is open between 10am and 5pm). Failure to register your vehicle may result in a fine from the Third Party Parking company and Wicksteed Trading Limited will not accept Liability for this.
- If for some reason you are delayed and arrive outside of these times please call our Security Team on 07483112045 where they will be able to assist.
Site Rules
In order that the security and standards of the park are maintained for everyone’s enjoyment and pleasure, we ask you to observe the following rules:
- The speed limit is 10mph.
- Vehicles must not go on the grass between November and February.
- No persons shall drive any vehicles in the Park without valid road tax, insurance, full driving licence or whilst under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- There is no access for private boats on the premises.
- Generators/Radios/Stereo/TV Noise- You must consider other users of the Park and keep volumes low.
- No Generators/Radio / Stereo/ TV noise after 10pm.
- Inappropriate behaviour or behaviour causing a nuisance is not acceptable. Failure to comply may result in you being asked to leave the Park. Park Management or Security are entitled to refuse admission when this appears to be necessary in the interests of the Park and the other occupants.
- No Fireworks or any type of firearm or missile is to be used on the grounds.
- You are welcome to have a BBQ on the campsite when you have booked in provided that you remain safety aware and comply with the below rules:
- Campfires/ open fires are not permitted. BBQs may be used provided they do not damage the grass or property.
- Additional guests not booked in to camp may not join you without prior permission of the site team.
- All BBQs must be raised at least 50cm off the ground in a metal bbq and have an appropriate method to extinguish should you need to.
- All BBQ remains must be put in the designated metal BBQ bin disposal units provided and not in a litter bin.
- Should the Emergency Services enforce a BBQ ban then Wicksteed Park reserve the right to remove permission for the BBQs. Should this happen then you will not be entitled to refund of you pitch.
- All BBQs must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
- There is no access for private boats on the premises.
- No person shall fire or discharge any firearm or missile or let off any firework on the premises.
- Children under the age of 18 must be under the supervision of a parent / guardian at all times.
- If you have lost your child report it immediately to the Visitor Centre / Reception (or to Security after 5pm).
- Park Management is entitled to refuse admission when this appears to be necessary in the interests of the Park and it’s occupants.
- Dogs must be kept on a lead s at all times, be wearing a collar and have an ID tag with an up to date a contact number on it
- You must clean up your dog’s mess after you.
- Dogs are not allowed in the children’s play areas or left unattended.
- No banned breed dogs are permitted.
- No pets other than dogs are permitted on site.
- Swimming in the lake is done at your own risk. Wicksteed Charitable Trust accepts no responsibility for any injuries or accidents which may arise. No personal boats, paddle boards or other personal equipment can be taken onto the lake
- There is no fishing allowed on any of our lakes.
- There are onsite cafes and attractions open for your use at any additional cost. Please see www.wicksteedpark.org for opening times or to make a purchase.
