Help our water chute to win a national award

We are thrilled that our water chute, which is one of the oldest rides of its kind in the world, has been nominated for a national award in the 2022 UK Theme Park Awards.

Winners will be decided by a public vote, with Wicksteed Park visitors being urged to vote by going to www.ukthemeparkawards.com

Voting will close on Friday September 2 with winners announced during an awards event at Drayton Manor theme park, Staffordshire, on Thursday September 22.

The Wicksteed Park water chute showcases the wonderful vision and engineering of Charles Wicksteed in his quest to encourage children and families to explore and have fun

In 2016, the ride was protected by Government body Historic England by being made Grade II Listed.

We are delighted that the water chute has been nominated for this prestigious national award.

It is a truly unique ride and, even after all this time, is still one of the most popular attractions at the park.
