Conference and Banqueting Manager

Wicksteed Park have an exciting new opportunity for a Conference and Banqueting Manager, reporting to the Head of Sales and Marketing this role is responsible for the maintenance and operations of our venue spaces, ensuring that all guests enjoy a unique premium experience.   This involves liaising with event managers and caterers, coordinating the logistics of events and ensuring the venue is kept to the standards expected. This role actively supports the wider Front of House and Retail team and will work alongside the Front of House and Retail Manager to deliver Wicksteed Parks sales strategy and customer standards.

Wicksteed Park is much more than an amusement park, the park was officially opened in 1921 by Charles Wicksteed as part of his vision to inspire and encourage play to improve the health and well-being of families.  Wicksteed Park offers over 147 acres of beautiful heritage green space and exciting rides and amusements which attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors each year to play and explore its beautiful grounds.

A key role in delivering our brand to all visitors to the park influencing the service delivered from the Catering, Front of House, and Sales teams, you should demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities and strong leadership skills.  Working as a Venue and Banqueting Manager you will work flexibly in line with our 7-day operations and be able to anticipate all logistics and requirements for events and show exceptional organisational and interpersonal skills.

The Venue and Banqueting Manager will be responsible for:

  • Managing all events and liaising with the sales team and clients to determine event requirements, coordinating logistics and equipment, and managing all catering and event staff.
  • Supervising the operations of events and attending to all queries.
  • Support the Front of House team to deliver exceptional customer service.
