Community and Heritage Roles
Our Community and Heritage team at Wicksteed Park are looking for Sessional Workers to support the development and delivery for the @Play project which is funded by the National Lottery Heritage fund.
Wicksteed Park is a registered Grade II on the English Heritage Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic interest and valued visitor attraction in Northamptonshire. The Park has been successful in receiving National Lottery Heritage Funds for the @Play project to develop its heritage assets and deliver an engaging activity programme which includes developing the archive and delivering community, heritage and learning activities and events.
The Community and Heritage team would like to recruit a small team of Sessional Workers to achieve this aim. We have opportunities in two roles:
Community and Heritage Activity Sessional Workers
Community and Heritage Activity Sessional Workers focus on supporting the development, co-ordination, delivery, and evaluation of an exciting accessible, relevant, and fun participatory programme which responds to the unique heritage of Wicksteed Park, its archive collection, resources and the expertise of the parks team. The team will support the delivery of the @Play National Lottery Heritage funded @Play Project and Education and Learning Strategy based on what Wicksteed Park has / will have to offer.
Community and Heritage Archive Sessional Workers
Community and Heritage Archive Sessional Workers focus on the development of the archive and its resources. The team will support the delivery of the @Play National Lottery Heritage funded @Play Project, working with the archive to digitise, catalogue, undertake research and interpret the collection to enhance our learning activities for education providers, community groups, heritage and environmental organisations and visitors to the park. Raising awareness of and securing our heritage for future generations.
