If you’re 14 or under and at least 1m tall then grab your paddle and get going on our paddle lakes! Children can choose their canoe and go for a jaunt on the Paddle Lakes located in the Splash Zone at Wicksteed Park.
The lake and Paddle lakes at Wicksteed Park are a significant feature of the park and were dug by hand and steam ploughs in 1916!
Take a stroll over the historic stone bridge and have a game of ‘poo sticks’.
Please note: The queue for this ride will close 15 minutes before the closing time on the day.

Wicksteed Charitable Trust
The Wicksteed Charitable Trust receives no regular external funding to help maintain the park as a truly unique, freely accessible public space.
You can help to preserve the park for future generations by making donations. All money raised is used to help maintain the park and its grounds.
