Bring up to three friends (including an adult over 18 for each boat) and explore our lovely lake with our Lake Boats.
The lake was one of the park’s major attractions when it was formally opened in 1921 by founder Charles Wicksteed.
Visiting families can take the lake boats at Wicksteed Park and enjoy the wonderful nature, the fresh air, ducks, swans and all other lake wildlife.
If rowing boats aren’t your cup of tea then how about a pedalo? For the more adventurous we also have canoes.
Please note: The queue for this ride will close 1 hour before the closing time on the day.

Wicksteed Charitable Trust
The Wicksteed Charitable Trust receives no regular external funding to help maintain the park as a truly unique, freely accessible public space.
You can help to preserve the park for future generations by making donations. All money raised is used to help maintain the park and its grounds.
