Magical Wicksteed 2020 is a sell-out sucess
Our determination to give people some festive fun at the end of a year blighted by Covid-19 created an amazing response, with the Magical Wicksteed event selling out.
Demand for tickets was so great that we introduced Magical Twilight, offering families the chance to meet Santa and his reindeer earlier in the evening
Magical Wicksteed was initially due to run every weekend in December as well as December 21, 22, 23 and 24 but more dates were quickly added due to the incredible response, with tickets booked in bubbles of up to six people.
It included a festive train ride, reindeer food making, a visit to Santa’s reindeer, meeting Mr and Mrs Claus and children could also choose a gift from the elves’ workshop, for just £15 per person. The price also included unlimited rides on Sway Rider and the carousel and adults got a yummy treat too.
Wicksteed Park Head of Sales and Marketing Rachel James said: “We were determined to do everything we could to end the year on a high and give everyone something festive to look forward too.
“We asked people to bear with us as obviously things are a little different this year due to Covid-19 but we made a commitment that if people were not happy with any changes that are required due to Covid-19 restrictions then their booking would be fully refundable.
“The response was absolutely amazing, so much so that we introduced Magical Twilight early evening slots to meet demand. Magical Wicksteed has always been incredibly popular but this year was phenomenal and we are so glad that people were able to come and enjoy it.”
