All of us at Wicksteed Park are urging people to join together and help make a mountain of happy, positive memories after launching our new Smile With Wicky campaign.

We did not want the Covid-19 outbreak to stop the park from doing what it has done best for nearly 100 years – which is to help people have fun.

The campaign has been created to help people smile and entertain one another during lockdown – but it is hoped that it will create a lasting legacy way beyond the current situation with coronavirus.

We have launched our campaign with a new song written and performed by our staff and entertainments team, and want people of all ages to video and share their own fun renditions.

People can post their own clips on the Wicksteed Park Facebook page or on Twitter using the hashtag #smilewithwicky and tag @wicksteedpark

We are also sharing people’s happy memories of “Wicky’s” on this Smile With Wicky web page and are appealing for more people to send in their positive stories.

We are also running a series of competitions and fun activities on our social media pages, as well as a wide range of education and activities learning packs devised by our community link team.

We also want you to come up with more fun ideas which could become part of the campaign.

So join in, let’s see and hear everyone’s version of the new Wicky song and let’s have some fun. We hope this is just the start and that the Smile With Wicky campaign can be a lasting initiative and will be something positive to come out of the current situation.
