Security Guards

•Our Security teams are the eyes and ears of the Park. They help across all departments, ensuring that all guests and team members are safe. They are flexible in their approach to working, enjoy the interaction with people from all walks of life and are happy to cover a lot of ground in one day. They also assist with parking, marshalling events

•Our Security Guards must be a minimum of 21 years of age, have a full driving license, be able to operate CCTV and monitoring equipment, have experience in guest interaction and working with external agencies.

•Security Guards Hourly Rate of Pay £7.38- £8.82 rising to £7.70- £8.82 from 21st April 2019.

Job Description

Reporting to the HOD HR and Training and the Finance Director.

40 hours per week

20k to 22k per annum dependant on experience

21 days holiday plus Bank Holidays

HR Duties

All tasks supporting the HR Co-ordinator in recruitment and selection of personnel.

Inputting of employee data

Maintenance of employee files

Statistical reporting

Support for the HR co-ordinator and the HOD, in the delivery of Training and Development interventions.

Active Involvement in employee Employee newsletter

Administration of employee surveys

Maintenance of Employee Time and Attendance records in preparation for the introduction and implementation of a T&A System.


Processing of the payroll for FT, PT, Seasonal and fixed term employees

Management of the payroll system SAGE 50.

Responsible for collating hours worked, timesheets etc and inputting onto spread sheet for the payroll upload.

Communications with Employees on all/any matters regarding payment of salaries.

Management of the NEST Pension Scheme

Liaison and communication with HMRC as and when necessary.

Liaison with any 3rd party, as necessary, relating to payment and/or deductions from employees pay.

Supporting all aspects of the payroll processing.

Payroll analysis reporting to finance (to enable the control accounts reconciliation each month)

Completion of P11Ds

Relevant and timely information to finance so that the necessary statutory payments can be transacted

Payroll year-end completion

Experience of a time and attendance system is desirable eg Tensor

Security Supervisor

Salary Scale: £21,000 to £24,000 pro rata up to 42 hours (dependant on experience)

Reporting to: Senior Manager

Responsible for: Security team members, security of visitors, staff and Park property.

Overall Job Objectives:

To supervise the co-ordination of the Security Team

To ensure the security of visitors, staff and Park property.

To offer excellent customer service to our visitors.

Key Relationships:

Close working relationships with the Security Team Senior Management Team, is essential plus all other Managers.

Job Purpose and Specific Tasks:

(Please note this is intended as a general guide only. It is not an exhaustive list of all the duties and responsibilities.)

To train, mentor, carry out appraisals and with a Team of Staff with shift patterns around the clock.

To audit & collate results from security searches, drugs and alcohol tests etc. Liaise with HR/line managers and Operations Director. Make recommendations and take action when necessary.

To ensure customer satisfaction by providing a good customer experience throughout the Park.

Monitor site activity via all channels.

Ensure the park borders, area boundaries and fencing are secure.

To wear the full correct uniform when on duty.

Arrange for the safe transportation of cash and business product around the Park as required.

Deal with antisocial behaviour in accordance with policy.

Direct and liaise with the emergency services when called to the Park and liaise with the Police and authorities as necessary.

Ensure premises are properly secure when unattended.

Carry out employee searches, report findings, follow up investigation when required.

Take responsibility for the security of keys and access codes to buildings, areas and gates as required.

Coordinate the flow of traffic and vehicle parking as required. Monitor and actively control the use of space to meet business needs and service levels. Provide assistance for marshalling, instruction and direction of pedestrian and vehicle traffic.

Ensure confidentiality at all times.

Write reports of daily activities and report incidents and irregularities to the Senior Manager.

Report all incidents, equipment breakdowns, safety breaches and repair needs and ensure action is taken to rectify operational problems.

Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation and company policy relating to employment.

Respond to and take action where necessary following customer complaints.

Ensure good working relationships with the Guest Services office.

Be the contact for on site campers and assist with out of hours check ins.

Ensure that all Health & Safety measures and procedures are observed and adhered to by staff, volunteers and the general public within the Park, make reports, liaise with the relevant departments and follow up with audits.

Report any accidents or incidents promptly and correctly in line with Park procedures

Assist with work in any other department as workload and Park priorities dictate.

Maintain a the relevant First Aid Qualification and provide first aid when required.

Hours of Duty:

Because of the nature of the business the post holder may need to work over a seven-day week depending on the time of year. Overtime is not payable however time off in lieu may be taken under previously agreed circumstances.

At least 2 year’s full time experience in a related role.

Demonstrable experience of dealing with health and safety systems, policies and procedures.

Demonstrable experience of IT skills and using Microsoft Office packages

Demonstrable experience of dealing with a range of internal and external customers

Demonstrable experience of working within a leisure attraction.

Skills, knowledge and abilities

Financial Controller

Salary range £30,000 - £35,000 depending on qualifications and experience.

Reporting to: The Finance Director


• Manage/supervise 2/3 direct reports. To involve overseeing the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and cash office functions, providing support and guidance and identifying training needs where necessary. Monitor the ageing profiles of the company ledgers and ensure sound cash flow process and efficiencies are maintained.
