Wicksteed Park Announces Sparkling Line-up Of Daytime Shows For 2016

Wicksteed Park – the premier group travel show venue – has announced a sparkling line up of daytime shows for 2016 in its historic Edwardian Pavilion.

In The Mood, Twist And Shout and Oh! What A Christmas Cracker will provide West End quality entertainment along with lunch and afternoon tea.

In The Mood, which premieres on May 17, features The Bombshell Belles and The American Patrol Swing Band and is a glamourous salute to the unmistakable sound of The Andrews Sisters, Glenn Miller, The Beverley Sisters and The Chordettes.

Songs include In The Mood, Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy and Pennsylvania 6-5000.

Prices are £20 (show with lunch and afternoon tea), £13.50 (show only), £18 (groups of 23 or more) plus, receive free tickets when you book (23 or more – 1 extra free ticket, 45 or more – 3 extra free tickets, 90 or more – 6 extra free tickets).

Other show dates are May 18, 19, 20, 23, 24, 25, 26, June 6, 7, 9, 10 and 12.

The greatest musical era of the 20th century will come alive at Wicksteed Park for Twist And Shout, a nostalgic look at the golden age of British pop, which premieres on September 12.

With over 40 songs this will be a non-stop feast of music that features four singers, two dancers and a live band performing hits such as She Loves You, Glad All Over and Something Tells Me I’m Into Something Good.

Other show dates are September 13, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21, 22, 26 and 27.

Oh! What a Christmas Cracker, The Christmas show for 2016, will be a saucy, hilarious show that will have you singing, dancing and laughing all the way into the festive season.

With a cast of singers, dancers, actors and their fabulous band performing the very best Christmas songs of all time including White Christmas, I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus, When Santa Got Stuck Up The Chimney and I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day.

The show premieres on November 6 and will also be performed on November 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 27, 28, 29, 30 and December 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 18, 19, 20, 21 and 22.

In The Mood and Oh! What A Christmas Cracker are produced and directed by Katie Ashby of Revival Live UK, who has an impressive track record, including Ocean’s Eleven, The D-Day Darlings and The Bombshell Belles.

Revival Live UK has a track record of creating a fleet of bespoke productions reviving the glorious music of the classic eras. Recent shows include Hooray For Hollywood, All Aboard Broadway, The Songs That Won The War and Swinging Into Christmas.

Twist And Shout is the work of Songbook Productions, led by Creative Director, David Kettle, who brings together the UK’s leading performers, choreographers, costume designers and creative professionals to produce superb shows.

Coach drivers are provided with complimentary lunch and refreshments.

The venue now has dedicated coach parking for up to 30 coaches, with overflow parking available.

A welcome host is also provided on request to show passengers into the Pavilion show venue.
