Science Cafe

As part of British Science Week, we’re hosting two Science Cafes. Come along for an informal introduction to science through ecology and engineering. The Cafe events will be held in our Heritage Space over coffee and cake. Contact to book your free place.

Tuesday 14 March from 10:45am to 12pm, Dr Scott Turner, Associate Professor (Computing & Immersive Technologies) based at University of Northampton will lead a talk about Junkbots, a project that combined environmental sustainability, engineering and computing alongside current research, ‘Visualising the Field’

Thursday 16 March from 10:45am to 12pm, join Paul Wyer of the Wildlife Trust to learn about the wildlife on your doorstep, in your gardens and around our lake. Find out about animal habitats and our impact on the natural environment. Discuss what you can do to maintain and increase local wildlife.
