The Wicksteed Park fireworks extravaganza is the number one destination for a magical family event this bonfire night.
Award-winning fireworks champions MLE pyrotechnics, from Daventry, are lighting up the sky above the Kettering park for its 15th annual display on Saturday November 5.
The central feature of the bonfire this year will be Wicky Man, a giant Wicker Man who will come alive with some fireworks before he is burnt before the main bonfire, so be sure to come along a little earlier to see him.
Wicksteed Park managing director Alasdair McNee said: “Proceeds from this stunning event will go towards new natural play areas in the park, so by coming along people will be helping the park build something special for all to enjoy.”
Gates open at 5pm with entertainment provided by Connect FM, a funfair (extra charges apply), music by Big Bopper Entertainment and the fireworks display will start at approximately 8pm.
As soon as the main display finishes, there will also be a free family disco in the Pavilion until around 10:30pm with Big Bopper Entertainment.
MLE are one of the world’s top firework display teams and have previously been crowned British Champions and came second in the World Championships.
Tickets for the event are £5 each and there is free car parking on the night.
